Yes, but I ask this. Should we be simply teaching students how to be an efficient, industrialised worker drone by turning their schooling into a technological based curriculum? Or should we be teaching them how to be a self actualised human by teaching them basic life skills and human values such as compassion, empathy, respect, conservation of the environment, the interconnectedness of life, basic mathematical and literacy skills, all of which you cannot rely on technology alone to teach.

Cool vid, It's true that technology has revolutionized our lives but what if it all come crashing down? What happens then? Our kids today would be screwed if there was a solar storm that knocked out the telecommunication satellites and the electrical grids world-wide.

Basic thought we must teach our students is that learning happens everywhere and anytime. This is why dislike this video...since AGAIN prentends that all that is required to become a successful person, citizen, parent, professional..etc need to be learnt at school...

Outstanding video. What other industry could survive with a 30 to 50% failure (dropout) rate and still survive?

Sure, and in most non english speaking countries we learn foreign languages too.
And because we do so... we don't strive for perfection..but I am sure you spell perfect spanish .Still or those american who don`t they should not worry .I can assure them we are far more rekaxed and thankful to people who make an effort to learn our native language as to go teaching them in youtube. Spelling mistakes and typing or grammar mistakes are different: prentends: typing one, learnt a grammar one.

Jehovah The personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. Jehovah is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, ????, which means He Causes to Become. These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH. Mark 1: 14Now after John was put under arrest Jesus went into Gal´i•lee, preaching the good news of God. JW . ORG DOWNLOAD FREE AUDIO RECORDINGS&MUCH MORE

@staciejacobsen - "learnt" is a word. It's the past tense and past perfect of "learn". Not everyone spells things the American way. FYI, no offence, I didn't learn English spelling in school coz we only had 2 half hour foreign language lessons a week in elementary. But I can spell pretty OK.
